Questions?
We’ve got answers.
When an experienced practitioner injects Botox®, Jeuveau®, or Xeomin®, the neurotoxin relaxes the repetitive muscle movements that cause dynamic wrinkles. The botulinum toxin formula causes the nerves in the treatment area to temporarily minimize sending signals to the muscles. This process allows the muscles to relax, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and preventing new ones from forming. Repeated treatments often require a lesser dosage of neurotoxins to achieve the same effect.
At Studio 17 Cosmetics & Wellness, our nurse injectors are trained by the manufacturer in the artful placement of Botox®. They are also expertly trained with Jeuveau® and Xeomin® treatments, so you can trust that your treatment will be effective and provide smooth, natural-looking results.
Though formulations differ, different brands of neurotoxins share several similarities and will likely yield similar results. The most significant contributing factor to your results will be the technique and skill of your injector, along with how many units they use. Though results will likely be similar, varying the neurotoxin you use can be beneficial if your chosen brand becomes less effective over time or is not delivering your desired results.
Each client may have a particular look they would like to achieve with neuromodulators, and the different brands each offer unique benefits. During your consultation, our team at Studio 17 will determine the best approach to your treatment based on your needs and aesthetic goals.
Botox®
Botox® is an exceptional treatment for frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines, neck lines, lip flip, a gummy smile, and more. Botox® can also be an effective treatment for excessive sweating in the underarms, called hyperhidrosis. The Botox® formula has a low diffusion rate, making it effective for smaller wrinkles.
Jeuveau®
Jeuveau® is used to treat moderate to severe frown lines or glabellar lines. These are the lines that can appear between the brows and are a common source of concern for many clients. Jeuveau® has a higher diffusion rate than Botox®, which allows it to spread faster and cover a larger treatment area.
Xeomin®
Like Dysport®, Xeomin® also specializes in treating moderate to severe glabellar lines. Where Xeomin® slightly differs from Dysport® and Botox® is its formula. Xeomin® has a double-filtered formula that removes specific proteins, which is why many regard it as a more natural or pure neuromodulator
Most clients can resume their busy schedules immediately after treatment. You may experience some slight swelling or bruising, but this risk is lessened due to our injection specialists’ expertise and meticulous techniques.
Our team will provide post-treatment instructions to ensure you experience the best results possible. If you have any questions or concerns after treatment, please contact our staff so we can continue to provide you with the excellent care you deserve.
With all neuromodulators, there is a chance that your body will naturally build resistance to the formula after many repeated treatments. In these cases, switching to a different neuromodulator may be beneficial and allow you to continue to enjoy the anti-aging benefits of treatment.
The longevity of the neuromodulators we provide is as follows:
- Botox®: You can expect to see the benefits of Botox® injections within a few days to a couple of weeks. Results typically last three to five months.
- Jeuveau®: Most clients will see improvements two to three days following treatment. The results of Jeuveau® usually last up to five months.
- Xeomin®: You can begin to see the results around three to four days after your treatment, and maximum results are usually visible after one month. The results of Xeomin® typically last about three months or more.
If you are also concerned with wrinkles due to a loss of facial volume, consider pairing your neuromodulator treatment with dermal fillers
Most individuals concerned about forehead lines, wrinkles, or crow’s feet are good candidates for neurotoxins. Those who are allergic to any ingredient found in neurotoxins, have a skin infection in the treatment area, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a muscle or nerve condition may not be ideal clients for neurotoxin treatments.
